Our firm is seeking an Expert Refurbishment Safety & Licensing for a major nuclear refurbishment project at Cernavoda Nuclear Power Station. This unique role is ideal for a results-driven nuclear professional with proven CANDU expertise and a track record of success in safety and licensing.

About the Role

Reporting to the Refurbishment Project Manager, you’ll leverage your CANDU refurbishment experience to help ensure project milestones are achieved on time and in strict alignment with quality, safety, and regulatory standards. This role includes collaborative engagement with Romanian counterparts, regulatory bodies, and a hands-on approach to safety and licensing documentation.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate on safety and licensing activities with Romanian Nuclear Safety Experts.

- Oversee regulatory commitments and compliance with CNCAN and OP&P requirements.

- Lead nuclear fuel discharge and refueling processes with precision and adherence to safety monitoring.

- Facilitate critical meetings, assist with regulatory documentation, and support negotiations with regulatory authorities.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or higher.

- Experience: 10+ years in CANDU Nuclear Power Plants; minimum 5 years in Nuclear Safety, Licensing, or Regulatory Affairs.

- Skills: Deep understanding of CANDU tech, strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.

- Languages: Romanian proficiency is a plus, but not required.
