Estimator – Graduate / Junior Level  – Permanent Role | Northern Ireland

We’re delighted to be supporting a leading civil engineering contractor in their search for an Estimator / QS to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-profile projects across wind farms, roads, rail frameworks, and energy networks (NIE / ESB).

What you’ll be doing:

• Researching material, equipment, and labour costs while identifying value engineering opportunities

• Preparing and issuing subcontractor and supplier packages to market

• Analysing quotations to ensure competitiveness and compliance

• Assessing and compiling rates, prices, and costings

• Attending site visits and project meetings

• Liaising closely with tender/project teams on programmes, preliminaries, and methods of work

• Supporting design and build tenders, including issuing enquiries to designers

• Ensuring all documentation, quotes, and clarifications are captured and recorded

• Assisting in pricing preliminaries, temporary works, and site attendances

• Working towards tender deadlines as part of a collaborative team

What we’re looking for:

• A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline

• Previous experience in a similar QS/estimating role (placement year also considered)

• Strong communication, negotiation, and teamwork skills

• Excellent attention to detail and IT skills (estimating software, AutoCAD, MS Project)

• UK right to work and a valid driving licence
