About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Project Controls to provide oversight and leadership on a major nuclear refurbishment project. This role is critical to ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for schedule management, cost control, risk management, reporting, and stakeholder coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all project control activities, ensuring alignment with project objectives for cost, schedule, scope, and quality.
• Develop and manage the integrated project execution plan and schedule in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Monitor project performance using KPIs, identifying deviations and implementing corrective actions.
• Lead risk management planning, mitigation strategies, and monitoring of emerging risks.
• Support contract preparation, negotiation, and performance monitoring, including invoice validation and change management.
• Coordinate reporting processes, ensuring accurate and timely progress updates for stakeholders.
• Foster strong collaboration between internal teams, contractors, regulators, and external stakeholders.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project staff, including setting objectives, performance reviews, and professional development planning.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Engineering, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, or Social Sciences.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience in the field of study.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role on CANDU unit refurbishment projects.
• Proven track record in project controls, including scheduling, budgeting, cost forecasting, and reporting.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills under pressure.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team-building abilities.
