Our client provides a wide range of cost-effective and sustainable energy solutions for public, industrial, commercial, agricultural customers working across both Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Due to continued growth, our client is seeking to hire a Quantity Surveyor reporting to the Senior Contracts Manager.

 

Location: Waterford

Objectives of the Job:

This is a hands-on role including the on-site commercial aspect of systems nationwide. Travel within Ireland is a requirement of the role.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Take over the commercial terms and conditions (T&C) from the sales team.

  • Set up and upload the commercial performance targets in the Company system.

  • Manage the sales invoice to the client on time as per agreed T&C with Accounts Receivable.

  • Manage and verify the contractor’s project-related invoices to the Company with the accounts.

  • Assist the procurement team to source cost-effective resources (material, equipment & contractor).

  • Work proactively with the project teams to ensure the commercial performance targets are being met.

  • Give feedback to the project team on the commercial aspects related to the billing and cost.

  • Share lessons learnt from the projects to the project team and sales for future pricing.

  • Collating and updating project profitability reports from multiple projects on regular basis.

  • Attendance at site for client’s meetings, site walkdowns or work inspections.

  • Manage the client relationship.

  • Develop the Company commercial procedures and documents.

  • Share knowledge and impart skills to other team members.

  • Assist in any other duties which may encompass the role.

 

Experience and Qualifications

  • Third Level Degree or equivalent in education and experience.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience.

  • Work with multiple projects/sites experience.

  • Contracting service experience.

  • ME contractor experience would be an advantage.

  • Understanding of NEC contracts would be an advantage.

  • Knowledge of renewable energy sector would be an advantage.
