Do you want to work for one of Ireland’s leading renewable energy efficiency companies? Our client provides a wide range of cost-effective and sustainable energy solutions for public, industrial, commercial, agricultural customers working across both Ireland and Northern Ireland. They are now looking for a Quantity Surveyor. This is a hands on role in on site commercial aspect of systems nationwide and travel within Ireland is a requirement of the role. The ideal candidate has the highest level of integrity, an excellent work ethic, enjoys supervising and building a team and the ability to perform professionally in a fast paced environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
? Standardised BOQs for typical projects.
? Prepare tender and contractual documents.
? Create BOQ for work packages.
? Review contract documentation.
? Review tender returns.
? Perform risk and value management, and cost control, during a project.
? Cost variations.
? Prepaid budget reports.
? Assist with value engineering.
? Meet with PQS to pre agree valuation onsite monthly.
? Review subcontractor monthly claims and deal with any variation claims.
? Create tender analysis report for the different package on return of tenders.
? Advise on contractual claims.
? Manage the sales invoice to the Clients on time as per agreed T&C with the accounts receivable.
? Assist the procurement team to source the cost-effective resources (material, equipment & contractor).
? Work proactively with the project teams to ensure the commercial performance targets are met.
? Collating and updating project profitability reports from multiple projects on regular basis.
? Attendance at site for the Client’s meeting, site walkdown or work inspections.
? Share knowledge and impart skills to other team members.
? Assist in any other duties which may encompass the role.

Experience & Qualifications
? Third Level Degree or equivalent in education and experience
? Experience working with NEC, RIAI, PSC,JCT & PWC forms of contracts.
? Minimum 5 years’ experience
? Work with multiple projects/sites experience.
? Contracting service experience
? ME contractor experience would be an advantage.
? Understanding of NEC contracts would be an advantage.
? Knowledge of renewable energy sector would be an advantage.
