SHEQ Advisor (Fixed-Term, 15 Months)

A leading civil engineering contractor is seeking a SHEQ Advisor to join their team on a 15-month fixed-term contract, supporting a major windfarm project in Abbeyleix, Co. Laois.
Working closely with the Project/Contracts Manager, you will play a key role in promoting and maintaining the highest standards in Health & Safety, Environmental management, and Quality Assurance across the project.
Key Responsibilities

Review, update, and implement SHEQ policies, procedures, and regulations

Conduct safety audits, inspections, investigations, and produce reports

Prepare and maintain Method Statements and Risk Assessments

Document and investigate incidents, ensuring corrective actions are implemented

Deliver site inductions to employees, contractors, and visitors
-
Plan and coordinate SHEQ-related training
-
Maintain SHEQ administration and support compliance with ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 9001:2015
Qualifications & Experience

NEBOSH OHAS Certificate (held for at least 2 years)

Environmental/Quality qualifications beneficial

Experience with ISO 45001/18001, ISO 14001 & ISO 9001

2+ years in a similar SHEQ/Health & Safety role (civils/construction preferred)

Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills

Proficient in MS Word & Excel

Full driving licence

Right to work in Ireland
