A leading civil engineering contractor is seeking a SHEQ Advisor to join their team on a 15-month fixed-term contract, supporting a major windfarm project in Abbeyleix, Co. Laois.

Working closely with the Project/Contracts Manager, you will play a key role in promoting and maintaining the highest standards in Health & Safety, Environmental management, and Quality Assurance across the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, update, and implement SHEQ policies, procedures, and regulations

• Conduct safety audits, inspections, investigations, and produce reports

• Prepare and maintain Method Statements and Risk Assessments

• Document and investigate incidents, ensuring corrective actions are implemented

• Deliver site inductions to employees, contractors, and visitors

• Plan and coordinate SHEQ-related training

• Maintain SHEQ administration and support compliance with ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 9001:2015

Qualifications & Experience

• NEBOSH OHAS Certificate (held for at least 2 years)

• Environmental/Quality qualifications beneficial

• Experience with ISO 45001/18001, ISO 14001 & ISO 9001

• 2+ years in a similar SHEQ/Health & Safety role (civils/construction preferred)

• Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills

• Proficient in MS Word & Excel

• Full driving licence

• Right to work in Ireland
