Project Engineer, Aberdeenshire

​Anderson McQue is working closely with a highly successful energy business to source a Project Engineer to join their team in Aberdeenshire. This is a new role on the team which is growing considerably through several new renewable energy projects.

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the Asset Manager with respect to operational, budgeting and reporting operations of the end clients. You will help with managing operational reporting, technical relationships with partners and ensuring contractual obligations are met; demonstrating excellent management and coordinating skills, good technical knowledge, an ability to foster positive working relationships, and willingness to learn and adapt to change.

This is a multi-faceted role, empowered as a key team member sharing responsibilities to deliver day to day management and supervision; a key point of contact with the Plant Manager on O&M matters; interacting at a corporate level on Fuel, Engineering, Environmental, Finance and other matters as required; as a key technical point of contact with the energy offtakers and other customers; and coordinating with external organisations including contractors, consultants and statutory bodies (local Council, OFGEM, EA, Grid Systems Operator etc.)

You will hold a degree in in a scientific or engineering discipline or equivalent experience gained in a relevant industry. Power generation sector experience is desirable, particularly boiler, steam and/or rotating plant operation or maintenance experience. You should have experience in planning and reporting to multiple stakeholders, with the ability to operate without a large supporting team and capable of implementing and improving efficient processes.
