Job description

PMO Title: Expert Planning and Scheduling Location: Cernavoda, Romania Status: Full Time, Permanent/Term or Contract position JOB OVERVIEW CNPSA is seeking a results-driven professional to join our team in the role of Expert Planning and Scheduling to support the Project Management Office by providing expertise in cost control and analysis. Reporting to the Manager of Planning and Cost Control this role will utilize their experience for developing and implementing processes

and procedures to monitor and analyse the expenditures of the Refurbishment project. This analysis will be used to monitor progress against the cash flow plan to identify issues that could cause the project budget to be compromised.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES This position reports to the Manager of Planning and Cost Control and is an individual who will:

• Identify and develop the planning and scheduling best practices and key performance indicators to be in place to monitor and report on the progress against the budget from front end planning through execution and close out of the Refurbishment project.

• Develop, implement and maintain computerized systems to provide short, medium and long- term forecasts of project progress and resource requirements.

• Develop, implement and maintain standards, methods and procedures to establish practical and uniform approaches to planning and forecasting the project. Analyse, evaluate and recommend more effective alternatives to existing standards and procedures as appropriate.

• Prepare forecast reports for use in Project Management Office forecasting, reporting and risk analysis.

• Provide supervision of Project Management Office staff and contract staff. Assign work, provide direction, check on progress, accuracy of work methods, and results, ensuring adherence to established standards and procedures.

• Provide input to Manager of Planning and Cost Control regarding various staffing matters, such as training, performance requirements, personnel matters, recruitment screening and also organizational structure.

• Review vendors estimates to ensure that they appropriately reflect market conditions and that they are consistent with OPG standards and practices.

EDUCATION

• Post-Secondary/University Degree in Business Administration or Financial Accounting is required

• Previous experience in the refurbishment and/or operation of a CANDU Station is considered a must

QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking a results-driven professional who has the following:

• Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in planning, monitoring and reporting of large projects or an operational station using Primavera P6

• A proven track record in previous large Projects in the Nuclear field; preferably experience with investment projects worth at least 100 million, EUR

• Demonstrated experience in CANDU Refurbishments

• Ability to communicate effectively, possess excellent oral and writing skills, and strong facilitation, negotiation, influencing, and presentation skills. Ability to present information clearly and effectively

• Ability to adequately disposition comments for other technical staff

• Sound judgment and a keen sense of responsibility

• Ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work to meet objectives and targets
