OVERVIEW
Our client, a leading organization in the nuclear energy sector, is currently seeking a Nuclear Safety and Licensing Procedure Writer and Analyst to support a major refurbishment project at a nuclear facility in Cernavoda, Romania. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that operational safety, licensing, and procedural documentation meet strict regulatory standards while supporting overall project execution goals.
The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with station operations and multidisciplinary project teams to develop procedures related to core surveillance, testing, and restart operations. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to one of the most important clean energy initiatives in Eastern Europe.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with stakeholders from Operations, Reactor Physics, Nuclear Safety, Licensing, and Document Control.

Develop and refine procedures related to core surveillance, testing, and restart activities for the refurbishment project.

Support the execution of deterministic safety analysis.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for all deliverables.

Coordinate reviews and approvals of technical documentation with internal and external stakeholders.

Maintain accurate project schedules and identify any risks to delivery.

Provide regular updates and progress reports to management.

Anticipate and mitigate project-related challenges.

Maintain a thorough understanding of how project activities impact the station’s safety and licensing basis.
REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following:

Reactor Physics

Nuclear Safety and Licensing
-

At least 2 years of experience working with nuclear regulatory frameworks.

Familiarity with nuclear management systems and organizational processes (experience with SNN/CNE systems is preferred).

Previous experience at a Nuclear Power Plant (CANDU reactor experience highly desirable).

Strong technical writing skills.

Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.

Fluent in English (spoken and written).
