Anderson McQue is delighted to have the opportunity to recruit for our client - one of Ireland’s best established forecourt retailers. They are an award winning and fast expanding forecourt group who value and develop their people and place them at the very heart of what they do.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Store Manager in one of our client’s fastest growing stores, located in Tipperary. The successful candidate should have managerial experience within the high volume convenience retail industry, preferably in a forecourt environment.

Responsibilities of the Store Manager

  • To drive sales, service, productivity and maintain excellent standards throughout the store.

  • To liaise regularly with your operations Manager.

  • To achieve targets with the management team and staff to reach maximum sales while ensuring direct costs and labour costs are controlled.

  • To ensure that the store’s management team are trained appropriately and to the highest standard.

  • Be responsible for the staffing levels in your store.

  • Develop members of staff and the management team through the use of Appraisals, Training and Promotion.

  • To ensure that merchandising and presentation of store is of the highest standard at all times.

  • To ensure that you are up to date on all Health & Safety, HACCP and other legal requirements and implement these within the store.

  • Proven ability in managing retail sales teams

  • Planning and organising capabilities

  • Excellent operational knowledge of retail environment

  • Excellent interpersonal relations

  • Excellent understanding of consumer needs and commitment to store standards

  • Proven track record in achieving agreed KPI’s and targets

  • Self-motivated and an excellent team motivator

  • The ability to work in a pressurised environment

  • Computer skills
