Anderson McQue has been appointed by a global EPC business to source a Proposals Manager to join their in the UK. This is a key position within the business providing day to day direction and guidance to the pursuit team for the preparation, assembly and submittal of all assigned proposals. This can be based in either the London or Glasgow office with a hybrid model of 3 days in and 2 days from home available.

In this role, you will be the UK proposal lead and be responsible for coordinating with the proposal and pursuit teams to ensure timely responses to client questions, and coordinating and expediting further negotiations, including the development of compelling post bid presentations. You will become part of a Global team dedicated to creating winning proposals; working closely with colleagues including Proposal Managers, Proposal Specialists, Marketing Specialists, and Conceptual Design Managers with the aim of creating complex proposals for prospective clients.

Your role will include supporting the proposal effort on assigned proposals based on guidelines set by the Proposal Review Board; assisting in the coordination with business partners to establish the proposal schedule and seeks resources from internal teams to support the proposal schedule; interfacing with Proposal Coordinators to collaborate on writing, editing, production, assembly, and delivery of assigned proposals.

To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 7 years project or proposal experience and a Bachelor's Degree in engineering is preferred. You should have a strong technical knowledge of industry including all types of power plants. You should have an understanding of financial metrics including margins, revenue, and overhead costs; be able to display business acumen through a sound commercial/business knowledge of contracts; excellent communications and human relations skills to coordinate with multiple stakeholders; and the ability to sell and think strategically.
