Procurement Manager, Cheshire

​Anderson McQue is partnering with a global EPC business to source a Procurement Manager to join their team in Cheshire. This is an important role within the business, taking a lead on procurement and supporting projects in the UK, whilst interfacing with global teams and resources.

This position requires in depth knowledge and experience on purchase orders for equipment and material in the UK and of the UK markets and suppliers. In this role, you will prepare contract documents and bidders lists; prepare, issue and manage the bidding process; lead early engagement activities with potential suppliers and subcontractors; and develop and maintain database of local UK Supplier and Subcontractors.

You will lead and manage the evaluation process through the distribution of quotations, preparation of the commercial portion of the bid tabulation, and collaboration with engineering and construction regarding the technical and constructability evaluations; make recommendations for selected bidder(s) and who to award; lead, schedule, coordinate and manage the negotiation process whilst resolving complex commercial terms and conditions exceptions; and manage the award process.

You will hold a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Technical / Engineering, Construction Management or related field (preferred) and a minimum of seven years relevant experience.
