Pilot Plant Manager, Antwerp

Anderson McQue is partnering with an exciting green deep-technology business who have developed a circular manufacturing process to offer the decarbonization of both the packaging and textile industries. With significant VC backing in place, the Pilot Plant Manager is a critical role in the journey towards industrialization.

We are looking for someone who will play a leading role in the scale-up of technology from the R&D lab to the kilo-lab , pilot and the plant scales including batch and continuous processes; manage a team of chemists & chemical engineers and the laboratory itself, including maintenance of chemicals and equipment supply, troubleshooting instruments; and coordinate with the R&D team to ensure alignment on technical needs and project execution for scaling up.

To be successful in this role you should hold an MSc or PhD in chemical engineering or similar with at least 5 years experience and knowledge in an industrial environment, engineering company or a chemical laboratory. You should have the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and meet deadlines; be highly motivated and a team player; and a familiarity with electrolyzer units, heterogenous / homogenous catalytic systems would be an advantage.
