Wind (Onshore & Offshore)
Anderson McQue has been appointed by a global engineering business to source a Head of Wind Energy to lead the strategic and technical business lines for wind technologies. This is a key position within the business for someone with a proven commitment to working in the wind energy space and with commensurate client exposure within this target market.
In this role, you will be responsible for the provision and management of wind energy services; feasibility studies, owners engineer, due diligence and engineering design; managing direct reports, shared and dedicated resources; staying abreast of market developments, supporting business development activities and tender responses, working with business development function to identify and grow client relationships.
You will hold a Bachelor's degree and have a minimum of 10 years work experience, with at least 5 years in the wind energy sector. Experience in some or all of the following areas is essential: project management and delivery; feasibility studies; owner's engineer; wind energy lenders and vendors due diligence assignments; business development; team leadership and management; wind turbine technology experience; establishing and maintaining key client relationships; proposal / tender preparation and review; engagement with collaborative projects and dissemination of findings.
It would be highly desirable for you to have a knowledge of the on and offshore wind industry from a technical perspective, relevant industry publications, and recommended practices and guidance across the UK and/or European wind energy sector.
