Graduate Blasting Engineer
Our client is an established company specialising in Industrial Explosives and Rock Blasting. They are offering a fantastic and exciting opportunity for graduates in Mining, Civil, Surveying and Construction Engineering.
The right candidate will be partnered with highly experienced engineers for a two-year mentoring and training programme to become a blasting engineer. This will incorporate training in Shot Firing, and Explosive Engineering. At the end of your two-year training you will have a permanent job with the company.
We have two vacancies to fill; one in the West Dublin area, proximity to the M50. The second will be based in the South Tipperary area.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
To gain an understanding of the fundamentals about how the different parts of the business operate. These include
Face Profiling
Drone Surveying
Shotfiring / Blasting Supervision
Vibration Monitoring and Analysis
Quarry based calculations.
Depot inventory management.
Liaising, developing, and maintaining relationships with current and potential customers.
Comply with Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality standards, and work instructions.
Promotion of Sales of Explosives, Accessories and Technical Services.
Full training will be provided to the successful candidates.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a Degree in Surveying, Civil, Construction Engineering, or another related Engineering field.
They will have graduated in 2020 for 2021 and who has 2 years relevant work experience.
The successful person must have a valid clean driver’s licence.
The candidate should have an interest in technology or digitisation.
They must also have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
They must be proficient in using Microsoft including Office, Excel and Outlook.
