Overview of the Role:
- The General Manager will be responsible for commercial and technical management of various client contracts across the portfolio.
- He/she will develop key client relationships and mutually develop and lead high performance teams delivering world class hard facilities and utility services.
- Manage a team of Contract managers to assist in the management, development and optimisation of site teams, and provide support to contract managers to ensure all goals, KPI’s and relevant standards are achieved.
- The role requires a skilled senior manager with pharma engineering experience, compliance and safety focus.
What you will do:
- Day-to-Day operational accountability
- Manage a team of Contract Managers to assist in the management, development and optimisation of site teams, and provide support to contract managers to ensure all goals and relevant standards are achieved
- Team and Individual Objective setting and management
- Management of new contract implementations, technical, operational, commercial and contractual ownership
- Environment & Safety Performance
- Liaise with QHSE to ensure that all QHSE requirements for managed contracts are satisfied
- P+L Ownership and management
- Development of Annual Budgets and Forecasts
- Management of Contract annual budgets
- Optimise the contract margin whilst minimising any risk or exposure to the business
- Maintain and develop key customer relationships
- Develop long-term strategic direction in liaison with clients and implement as appropriate
- Strong focus on renewal of contracts
- Renewal and new business bid preparation and development
- Contribute to the development of the company’s strategy, growth and business plan
- Anticipate and effectively manage risks and opportunities
- Working with other GMs in the business unit
- Improve/maintain the net promoter score through KPI and continuous improvement management
- Working with site operations on forecasting and capacity planning
- Team and individual objective setting and management
- Anticipate and effectively manage risks and opportunities
What you will need:
- Engineering degree or equivalent, preferably in electrical/mechanical/building services, with five to ten years’ postgraduate experience, or
- Trade qualification (National Craft Cert, City & Guilds or Equivalent), preferably electrical/mechanical/building services
- Management experience in an industrial utilities’ environment
- Demonstrable Health & Safety experience, particularly in a SEVESO or similar type environment
- Operating within a regulated environment
- Proven record with Communication skills between Client’s, Service Providers, Consultants and Corporate representatives.
- Experience with Maintenance and Shutdown Schedules and Budgets.
- Preparing and executing Facility Management Budgets in the Pharma or Medical Device industries.
- Project management of multipurpose projects up to €20 million.
- Demonstrate a knowledge of Hazardous Area equipment, design, installation and maintenance – Zone 1 and Zone 2.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Experience in Customer Service Management
- Experience of leading an operational team
- Experience of driving growth, compliance and value
- Experience in the execution of Contract Implementation
- Strong Commercial Acumen
Great to have:
- Design and/or modification of industrial utilities
- Supervisory/management experience in a pharmaceutical utilities’ environment
- Experience in energy management role with ability to demonstrate a clear history of savings achieved.
- Experience with delivering Reliability programs to improve efficiencies and reduce maintenance costs.
- Demonstrate an ability to motivate and drive a team in a continuous improvement environment.
- Continuous Improvement techniques 5S/Kaizen/6 sigma/ FMEA.
