Anderson McQue has been appointed by a highly innovative tier 1 technology business to source an Electrical Engineer to join their team in Poway, San Diego County. This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious, growing company specialising in Zero Emission Mobility.
In this role, you will work closely with System Engineering to define vehicle electronics integration. You will be responsible for documenting power and signal interfaces between electronics components for both high and low voltage; creating and releasing electrical wiring and harness schematics, including bill of materials; supporting electrical harness integration and test bed operation; troubleshooting and reworking wire harnesses in warehouses or assembled on a vehicle, and manufacturing harnesses to support prototyping and testing if necessary.
You will hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Automotive or Aerospace Engineering. You should have 1-3 years professional experience in wire harness design, integration and validation; the ability to work independently and with distributed teams; and am awareness of best practices to minimize electrical interference.
You should have a general Knowledge of electrical safety standards UL, SAE and ISO; a general Knowledge of physical requirements for vehicle networks; and problem solving experience where issues are unusual and difficult.
