Job description

PMO Title: Superintendent BOP, T/G and Common Systems Location: Cernavoda, Romania Status: Full Time, Permanent/Term or Contract JOB OVERVIEW CNPSA is seeking a results-driven professional to join the on-site team in the role of Superintendent BOP, T/G and Common Systems to lead local and international team members as part of the Project Management Organization. Reporting to the Manager Refurbishment Engineering, this role will be a representative of CNPSA supporting SNN in the refurbishment of the Cernavoda Unit 1. This role will be to support major refurbishment projects at Cernavoda Nuclear Generating Station in Romania. This exciting opportunity offers the potential to further develop capabilities and expertise in large-scale refurbishment projects, as well as expand the company’s presence in Romania. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and monitoring the project activities for large refurbishment projects and will interface closely with the client and 3rd party contractors.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Superintendent BOP, T/G and Common Systems - reports directly to the Manager Refurbishment Engineering and has as main accountabilities:

• Support heads of services within the Engineering Department in the evaluation for acceptance of detailed solutions, technical specifications, implementation, and testing plans with respect to BOP, T/G, and common systems.

• Provide oversight and verification of the complex implementation and testing plans for critical activities in the refurbishment project.

• Monitor and ensure that design and refurbishment activities are performed in accordance approved project schedule, budget, and relevant QA processes.

• Define and manage interfaces and scope between discipline-specific design areas to ensure that sufficient resources are allocated to each stage of project.

• Provide design expertise and verify system-level design documentation.

• Provide assurance that design and manufacturing activities are performed in accordance with written and approved policy, standards, programs, and applicable procedures.

• Adhere to on-time/on-budget criteria associated with refurbishment commitments and success. • Coordinate the implementation of the engineering support for the scope of work for execution • Ensure implementation of the engineering governance and guidance as developed and

coordination with the vendors and the Romanian counterparts

EDUCATION

• A bachelor's degree (or higher) in Engineering

QUALIFICATIONS

We are seeking a results-driven professional who has the following:

• Direct involvement in a CANDU Refurbishment Project/Organization will be an advantage.

• 10 years relevant experience, with a minimum of 5 years of experience working with CANDU Nuclear Power Plants.

• In depth knowledge of site outage/installation/maintenance of CANDU Nuclear Power Plants

• Comprehensive understanding of CANDU technology and operations, with expertise in BOP, Turbogenerator, and Common systems.

• Demonstrated capability to manage and lead engineering and design organisations

• Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality products under tight timelines and high pressure to support unit restart schedules.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and experience in leading technical projects to successful completion.

• A Professional Engineer of Ontario (PEO) or eligible for PEO status with a passion for engineering.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and have demonstrated a high commitment to quality.

• Strong attention to detail and to quality assurance requirements.

• Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team situation.

• Romanian Language proficiency would be beneficial but is not a requirement.
